The End of Middleton High School

I’m going to start by being upfront: this is not going to be a soppy ‘remember this, remember that’ kind of thing. This is a tool for contact. A tool to tell new stories, not old ones. If I do start to reminisce too much, somebody please write me a strongly worded comment.

Continuing: Today, June 15, 2008, marks the first day of summer vacation. On a sadder note, it also marks the day after my last day at Middleton High School. No longer shall I walk the noisy, crowded halls or make the trek to my third floor locker. Instead, I will be able to walk in the corridors of the forest and have homework from no teacher… and will stop waxing poetic. But my school free time is also a sad time, because the school that I am free from is Middleton. I won’t be going back to Middleton in the fall. I’ll be in Green Bay, school undecided. I’m sure my new school will be just as good as Middleton academically, but socially, it will be horrible. (Because none of you will be there). I’ll make new friends, but at the moment, I just want to focus on keeping these friends. You guys. Thus the blog.

It’s difficult to think of anything else to say about school. I just finished my finals yesterday (and kept the 4.0 thank goodness) and do not want to think about it anymore at the moment.

But actually, school was not bad. I was/am one of the nerds who enjoys it. My teachers were mostly great this year and I enjoyed most of my classes. I’ll miss my Honors English buddies in upper level courses and I’ll even miss Ms. Jensen and Honors Chemistry. (I can hear you all groaning, but I actually liked that class a lot.)

But for real, this is where my brain is stopping tonight.
